“During the operation of the business, the suspect distributed 8,174 crates/dozen of the 800 ml packaged cooking oil and about 501 crates/dozen of the 1,000 ml package,” explained Kompol Jery.
For his actions, the suspect is charged under Article 62 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 8 Paragraph (1) letters b and/or c of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection, with a maximum penalty of five years in prison or a fine of up to IDR 2 billion.
In the uncovering of this case, the police also seized several pieces of evidence, including 335 crates/dozen of V 5AWIT cooking oil in 800 ml packages, 27 crates/dozen of 1-liter packages, as well as various documents and company files belonging to the suspect. (ANGGI)
