PT Director in South Sumatra Named Suspect in Bengkulu for Producing Thousands of Boxes of Under-Portioned Cooking Oil

The suspect, identified by the initials JS, a resident of Belitang, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, South Sumatra Province, serves as the Director of PT Cipta Permata Ibunda, the company that produced the cooking oil.

Bengkulu Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Commissioner of Police (Kombes Pol) Andy Pramudya Wardana, S.Ik, explained that laboratory examination results proved a deficiency in content.

“For the 800-milliliter package, the test results showed an average content of 706.5 ml, or a shortfall of about 93.5 ml. As for the 1,000-milliliter package, the average content was only 884.5 ml, or a difference of 115.5 ml from the actual size,” Kombes Pol Andy revealed on Monday, November 3, 2025.
